Pre-flight checklist for the next Monad hardfork. Curated from MIP content + Foundation comms.

No upcoming hardfork

No Hardfork meta-MIP is currently scheduled. Continue tracking /changes for status drift.

Pull the latest Category Labs client release. Verify checksum from the GitHub release page.
Run a full sync on a non-validator node first. Confirm block production parity vs. mainnet for at least 100 blocks.
Diff your config against the upgrade notes — pay particular attention to any new distribution_account or syscall-related flags (MIP-11) and active-set sizing (MIP-9).
Stagger validator restarts. Keep at least one healthy peer in the active set during your maintenance window.
Monitor finalization lag for 30 minutes after restart. Roll back if finalization slows materially.
